Three new leaves. . I watched Dramamask with the copper patina and figured I would screw that up, so I faked it with paint. One fake brass, one fake pantina copper, and one gold. Lots of layers and dry-brushing as in the dramamask vids.

Thanks for sharing! Great taste in leaves you have there and your painting technique is master-chef level. Not sure what the experts on this board think, but it appears the signals are mixed on whether you should wait the proverbial 30 days before painting crete. However, waiting 30 seconds is perhaps pushing the limits and unbeknownst to your family, just put you in the Guinness book of world records. Congrats!

Won't you kindly let me stay? It's a lovely day today.
I'm with you, Kiz on the giant rhubarb. (Don't let the dog sit under it ). Concrete isn't fully cured for 28 days. It will reach about 75% strength after 10 days, and hopefully is being moist cured during this time (spray daily and keep covered with plastic.) You're trying for a controlled "cure" for the concrete to get the strongest piece you can, not just waiting for it to dry out.
Hmmm thinking how to respond.I don't want this to come across as a terse response, but it probably will.We strive here on the forum to teach sound practices for new members and the like to successfully complete a project. Many steps that we describe and offer are tried, and used in practical applications after years of successful casting by many members .We do not wish to confuse a new member with contradictory information. That being said ,everyone is free to do what they like with the advice they are given. New members are usually very excited about discovering this new skill , and wish to do ...well, maybe more than they should at the start.Better to walk before we run.But again , fly at it as you wish. I will just mention that if information is deemed to be to be counter to established advice that may be detrimental to membership guidance, it will be removed from the thread.
